Learn More About the Retreat

This retreat is an all-levels space for bringing your queries and curiosities about Jewish music — from the practical to mystical sides of making music and building singing communities to the song-filled dreamscapes of the Jewish sages and more. Sessions will be interactive and include time for Q&A, so come ready with your questions!

Topics may include:

  • From Psalm to Song: Uncovering the Hidden Melodies of Our Texts

The early bird registration fee is $485. Early bird pricing ends on January 7. The regular fee will be $500.

"Bring Your Own Lunch..."  We will have coffee and tea, but food will not be provided - so please bring lunch with you, or plan to go out during the lunch break.

On Sunday, March 15 at 7:30pm, following the opening session of the retreat, Yoni Battat and Rabbi Yosef Goldman will present Kedmah: The Rising Song Piyyut Project. This is an optional add-on to the schedule. The concert will take place at:

From the retreat location at Ohabei Shalom, the concert is 15 minutes away by car and about 45 minutes by train on the green line.
